• Question: Have any of you had serious diseases?

      Hi evemackley- thankfully no. We’re all very careful when it comes to working in the lab, although I did blow up a microwave once!

      I had dengue fever when I was about 9 years old. This is a disease that can get very serious and even kill you, and is unfortunately quite common in tropical countries. I didn’t have it very bad though – stayed in hospital for about a week, but I was fine after that!
