      Hi topscientist (cool name)

My favourite topic was (and is) biology, especially anything to do with the sea. I think the natural world and animals are just amazing, and feel privileged to be able to study it!

      How about yours?

My favourite part of science is biology – specifically the human body! That’s mainly because everything I learn is so closely related to me, it’s easy to see why it’s important for me (and all other humans) to know this stuff. Also, a living being is the most complex thing on the planet – we still don’t understand what it is that makes us alive! And humans are the most complex of all, so there are an infinite number of mysteries for me to solve 🙂

But this really doesn’t mean that I’m not interested in other areas of science! I’m very easily fascinated by most things, from outer space to the deep sea, from great big galaxies to sub-atomic particles. After all, my favourite thing about science is that ALL of science actually comes together to tell one big story, about how the world works! So even though I’ve chosen to work on human biology, I’d be keen to work on any kind of science – provided it doesn’t have too much to do with math 😉
