Hi andrei- Yes they do. We use certain types of aquatic bacteria in dealing with what we flush down the toilet when it gets to the sewage works. We also use them in fish tanks to help keep the water healthy.
There are an awful lot of bacteria in the ocean (‘marine bacteria’) which have some amazing properties which we can use- from make light, to producing medicines. Best thing about these, is that we are still discovering them!
