Me being me, I’d probably write a story about it…

But to be serious – I don’t think there can ever be just one thing that is THE cure to cancer! I could possibly invent a way, one way among many other possible ways, to treat cancer though. If I had this drug or method that works in the lab, I’d then take it to a company that makes medicine, and have them make it up so that humans can have it. Then we’d work together to do many more tests on the medicine, to make sure that it’s safe to use in humans, and that it works the same way it does in the lab. If everything goes ok, we’ll have a new cancer treatment available to the public!

If I managed to do this, I’d be super happy and excited of course – maybe have a big party to celebrate – but I don’t think I’d do anything different afterwards! There’s always more questions to answer in science, more problems to solve, so I’d probably go right back into the lab and start working on the next question on the list!
