because it gives me the freedom to explore ideas and to talk with people who are interested in the same kind of things that I am. I also get to play with lots of cool equipment too!

I’m satisfied with my job because this is exactly what I want to be doing 😉 You become dissatisfied when you know there’s something that could be better. But for the past five years (since I started university) I’ve known that this is what I’d like to do, and I’m pretty thrilled that I get to do it! My research project works on just exactly what I’m most interested in, which is cancer and the immune system, I’m in a lovely lab with the nicest bunch of colleagues, and I’m paid a decent wage that allows me to live comfortably. What’s not to be satisfied with?! 😀
